Previously a Local Authority Estates and Property department which has now externalised and carries out the total range of property related engineering and construction services for the authority as well as bidding for work in the private sector.
This includes building services (M&E) survey and design work, Architecture, civil and structural engineering and quantity surveying.
As M&E Surveyor you will be working with a Building Surveyor on a remote basis inspecting schools within the Norfolk area with Norwich being your base.
This will involve inspecting plant rooms, distribution boards and all areas of the property to establish what M&E equipment is in place, its approximate age, condition, maintenance requirements and costs to either bring it up to standard or replace it.
You will be using a hand held computer (training provided) to record the data which is then downloaded and forms part of a report which you will be expected to compile.
As M&E Surveyor you will be travelling extensively, so having your own transport will be essential (actual mileage rate paid varies according to your vehicles cc).
The contract is likely to last for a minimum of 3 months and you are likely to be working circa 40 hours per week.
